POLAND’S PRESENT-DAY ENERGY MANAGEMENT

Economic and defence issues are currently one of the most important areas of the functioning of states, whose economic development depends on access to energy sources. Increasing environmental pollution caused by excessive greenhouse gas emissions and the low cost of conventional fuels means that the Polish energy industry faces the difficult challenge of transforming the Polish energy sector into a sector based on more environmentally friendly energy sources. It is important to observe that the present-day energy economy should be based on its own (energy) resources as much as possible, which will significantly improve the economic and energetic defence potential of Poland
