In 1941 Department For Evaluating Foreign Fortification of the German Supreme Army Command (OKH) developed an analytical study of the Polish system of fortifications acquired in September 1939 titled “Denkschrift über die polnische Landesbefestigung”. The authors of the study concluded information of allegedly plans to fortify the Republic of Poland originated in France and were developed by the French General Staff. German analysts generally characterized the assumptions of the alleged “fortification plan” gen. Le Rond from 1928, polemical “counter-plan” of gen.
