Business models from the 90s are used to transform the idea of entrepreneur in the value creation process. This paper presents a proposal to modify the concept of the business model according to A. Osterwalder and Y. Pigneur. It pointed out the need to pay attention to intangible assets while defining elements of the business model. Attention was also drawn to the appropriate integration of intangible and tangible assets, because the interaction of all elements of the business model can achieve synergistic effects that manifest themselves in gaining competitive advantage
