The paper concentrates on the need of use of a wide range of marketing research methods and techniques. It presents the role and function of these research and quality aspects that can be achieved thanks to them. The authors estimate the extent of marketing analysis use in selected production companies. The main reason why companies are interested in carrying out of research are distribution and promotion policies.
