W artykule przedstawiono wyniki prac laboratoryjnych, mających na celu nadanie włóknom bawełnianym barwionym i niebarwionym właściwości bakteriobójczych. W tym celu wprowadzano do wyrobu włókienniczego nowo-opracowane preparaty bakteriobójcze pochodne reaktywne poliheksametylenoguanidyny (PHMG) na bazie 1,3,5-triazyny, zdolne do kowalencyjnego związania się z włóknem bawełnianym w temperaturze 25° w przypadku preparatu dichlorocyjanuro – PHMG (DC-PHMG) lub w temperaturze 60°C w przypadku preparatu monochlorocyjanuro – PHMG (MC-PHMG).
