Machining of large-size elements. Measurement problems

The paper presents the problems concerning the machining of large-size elements. Metrological problems, which have a significant influence on the accuracy of such elements, have been indicated. Proposals how to minimize the effects of thermal forcing interacting during machining were also presented.
