Celem wykonanych badań laboratoryjnych było ustalenie parametrów wytrzymałościowych mieszaniny piasku i odpadów z opon samochodowych, w zależności od zagęszczenia i ilości dodanych odpadów. W badaniach laboratoryjnych zastosowano granulat gumowy o wymiarach ziaren 2,5-4 mm. Badania laboratoryjne obejmowały określenie składu granulometrycznego gruntu, wskaźników porowatości, gęstości właściwej i objętościowej szkieletu, maksymalnej gęstości objętościowej szkieletu i wilgotności optymalnej oraz parametrów wytrzymałościowych mieszaniny piasku i odpadów.
