This paper presents an application of statistical analysis to the estimation of the influence of weather on the variability of the electricity consumption in different parts of power distribution system. Simulation studies have been performed to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed scheme and an effect of different parameters on its accuracy on the basis of actual data obtained at distribution system substations. To verify the proposed method of energy consumption estimation the measurements of daily energy consumption and weather factors at selected distribution substations in Bialystok Power Distribution Utility Co. were made in 365 days
