Article is devoted to the factors conditioning the improvement of the quality management system (QMS) of industrial company. In this paper, these factors are called determinants of improvement in the QMS. Particular attention was paid to factors which sources should be sought in knowledge management in the organization. These determinants have been identified in the research process which was conducted among the management of one of the large industrial companies. In the research process, degree to which the determinants support forms of professional organization was assessed.
