The Paper investigates the different aspects and possibilities of a dialogue with water in contemporary practice of urban recreation. The place and importance of the value of waterfront territories in complex nature-based solution for the future urban growth have yet to be understood and realized. Now the city is regarded as an open system and, at the same time, the array of its waterfront territories in contemporary urban planning is in the focus of developers.
