The Internet of Things (IoT) technology implementation in consumer electronics – case study

W artykule przedstawiono analizę możliwości technicznej realizacji oraz wyniki badań dotyczących implementacji koncepcji urządzeń elektroniki konsumenckiej (UEK), bazujących na technologii Internetu Rzeczy (IoT). W ramach prac badawczych opracowano nowoczesne urządzenie AGD, jako integralny element systemu automatyki i sterowania oraz zarządzania energią w budynku, zorientowanego na poprawę komfortu użytkowania i zwiększenie efektywności pracy UEK. Zrealizowane prace badawcze wskazują na możliwość zastosowania technologii IoT w celu zapewnienia integracji UEK z sieciowymi systemami automatyki budynkowej, tak aby umożliwiały one jak największą ich elastyczność i interoperacyjność. Artykuł wskazuje na trendy rozwoju nowoczesnych urządzeń codziennego użytku, rozbudowanych o wsparcie obsługi i komunikacji danych przez sieci protokołu IP oraz przedstawia wyniki implementacji inteligentnego czajnika w technologii IoT.In the paper authors present a technical analysis and results of implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) modules in consumer electronics. The research is focused on white goods implementation as universal building automation and building energy management devices. To provide an interoperability of such modules in the field of improving comfort and increasing efficiency of using, authors proposed to take advantage of IoT technology. In conducted research it has been confirmed that there is a possibility of adapting IoT technology to develop modern consumer electronics devices, to improve their functionality and reducing energy consumption.
