Algiers, also known as El-Djezaïr city before 1830, used to develop a close relationship with its surrounding extra-urban territory. This represents for Algiers a relevant and necessary source of domestic products, building materials, the manufacturing, in addition to the various places for pleasure and leisure. By exploring the corresponding archaeological remains, the main scope of this paper is to rediscover the natural-cultural landscape, which has been altered due to the large urbanisation process started since 1830.Menouer Ouassila, Zerouala Mohamed salah.
