Dyes are compounds widely applied in the different branches of industry, such as: paint, textile, cosmetic, paper, leather, food and other industries. Presence of dyes in water, even in ultralow concentrations, can negatively influence life of organisms in this environment. There are many methods of dye removal: chemical oxidization, coagulation, membrane processes, ionic exchange and also process of adsorption. It is possible to increase the capacity of sorption considering removed dyes through corresponding physical or chemical modification of adsorbents.
