The technological study of four industrial ensembles dated to the Early Aurignacian allows us to clarify the modalities of the appearance of bone material working. We propose that it is the result of a technical transfer from wood to animal materials. This hypothesis is based on the operational concept of antler debitage and on the chaîne operatoire of split based points. These elements also attest to the existence of different conceptions of projectile point.
