The Carabidae are one of the most diverse and abundant beetle families in the world. Given their predation on some pests such as aphids and slugs, they are considered to be important biological agents to control crop pests. This study was carried out in agricultural landscape (herbaceous area, cereal field edge and inside the field) of a semi-arid region located in the north-east of Algeria (Constantine), for four months during the year 2016. Carabid beetles sampling was performed using interception traps. Ten pitfall traps were placed in a straight line at each station, spaced five meters from each other.
