The influence of the technological parameters on allyl-glycidyl ether epoxidation using t-butyl hydroperoxide over the Ti-MWW catalyst

W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono badania nad wpływem parametrów technologicznych na przebieg procesu epoksydacji eteru allilowo-glicydolowego (EAG) wodoronadtlenkiem t-butylu (WNTB) na katalizatorze tytanowo-silikatowym Ti-MWW w metanolu jako rozpuszczalniku. Ponadto omówiono metodykę prowadzenia procesu epoksydacji oraz sposób identyfikacji i oznaczania ilościowego składu mieszanin poreakcyjnych za pomocą chromatografii gazowej. Zbadano wpływ temperatury (20-120°C), stosunku molowego eteru allilowo-glicydolowego do wodoronadtlenku t-butylu (1:1-3:1), stężenia metanolu w środowisku reakcji (10-80% wag.), ilości katalizatora (0,5-5% wag.) oraz czasu reakcji (60-1440 min.). Analizy chromatograficzne pozwoliły oznaczyć w mieszaninach poreakcyjnych trzy produkty dla badanego procesu: eter diglicydolowy (EDG), alkohol allilowy i glicydol, przy czym produkt najbardziej pożądany – eter diglicydolowy udało się otrzymać z niską wydajnością – 5,6% mol. W większości syntez produktem głównym był alkohol allilowy (produkt rozpadu eteru allilowo-glicydolowego).This paper presents studies on the influence of technological parameters on the epoxidation of allyl-glycidyl ether (AGE) using t-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) over the titanium-silicate catalyst Ti-MWW and in methanol as a solvent. Furthermore, the method of epoxidation and the method of the identification and quantification of the composition of the post-reaction mixtures by the gas chromatography have been shown. The influence of temperature (20-120°C), molar ratio of allyl glycidyl ether to t-butyl hydroperoxide (1:1-3:1), methanol concentration in the reaction environment (10-80 wt%), catalyst amount (0.5-5 wt%) and time of the reaction (60-1440 min) has been studied. The gas chromatography analyses of the post-reaction mixtures allowed to establish three products for the studied process: diglycidyl ether (DGE), allyl alcohol and glycidol. But the most desired product – diglycidyl ether was obtained with the low yield 5.6 mol%.
