W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań kawitacyjnych powłoki TiN wytworzonej na stali austenitycznej 1H18N9T metodą katodowego odparowania łukowego (ARC). Ocenę odporności kawitacyjnej powłoki TiN przeprowadzano w oparciu o badania na stanowisku przepływowym ze szczelinowym wzbudnikiem kawitacji. Stwierdzono, że okres inkubacji uszkodzeń powłoki TiN jest o ok. 100% dłuższy niż w przypadku nie pokrytej stali 1H18N9T. Analiza z wykorzystaniem mikroskopii skaningowej wskazuje, że proces niszczenia powłoki TiN następuje głównie w wyniku jej delaminacji.Results of investigation on cavitation erosion resistance of TiN coating deposited on stainless steel 1H18N9T by means of the cathodic arc method are presented.
