In the vineyards of the Duke of Burgundy : the Clos Chenôve in the XIVth century. The Duke of Burgundy kept up an important wine-growing and wine-making domain near Dijon. In the village of Chenôve, 50 hectares of good vineyards stretched behind a vast hall-barn protecting two huge wine-presses. This equipment remains visible to this day and its management records have been preserved from 1352 onward.
