Numerical simulation of bending of pipes produced from modern materials for the power industry

W artykule opisano numeryczny model procesu gięcia rur z nadstopu niklu DMV 617 mod. opracowany w oparciu o dane uzyskane w badaniach laboratoryjnych i przemysłowych. Analizując uzyskane wyniki stwierdzono, że symulacje numeryczne dają zbliżone rozkłady grubości ścianek rur do uzyskanych w rzeczywistym procesie. W symulacji uzyskano zbliżony przebieg sprężynowania powrotnego do warunków przemysłowych. Zaobserwowane różnice między modelowaniem a doświadczeniem mogą być spowodowane brakiem możliwości dokładnego wyznaczenia wszystkich warunków brzegowych w rzeczywistym procesie.The paper deals with the numerical model of nickel superalloy DMV 617 mod. tube bending process developed based on the data obtained in laboratory and industrial experiments. Analysis of the results showed that the numerical simulations give similar distribution of pipe wall thickness to that obtained in the real process. The results of the simulations of the springback effect were close to the behaviour of tubes in industrial experiments. The observed differences between modelling and the results obtained in industrial conditions can be caused by the inability to identify all boundary conditions in the real process
