Artykuł dotyczy zastosowania mikroprzetworników termopneumatycznych w elementach płynowych (hydraulicznych i pneumatycznych). Przetworniki termopneumatyczne są uruchamiane ciśnieniem gazu (powietrza) podgrzanego elektrycznie. Przedstawiono przykłady mikropompy membranowej i bistabilnego mikrozaworu foliowego uruchamianych termopneumatycznie.
