Metody szacowania emisji dwutlenku węgla w łańcuchach dostaw ładunków

Carbon dioxide emission from transport is a little more than ten percent of the greenhouse gas, resulting from the combustion of fossil fuels. There are methods and tools that apply to the calculation of carbon dioxide emissions in the different phases of transport. Many European Countries have their specific methods for estimation of carbon dioxide emissions, adapted to the existing economic, social, sociological, or geographical environment. The paper presents the most important and the most common methods in this field. There are also assumptions presented of the international project COFRET (Carbon Footprint of Freight Transport). Work under the project, is aimed at harmonizing the available methods and should define carbon dioxide emissions in the supply chain of goods and logistics. This is particularly important, because of the increasing legislative requirements for the protection of the natural environment.Emisja dwutlenku węgla z transportu drogowego stanowi znaczący procent emisji tego gazu ze wszystkich innych rodzajów transportu UE. Istnieją metody i narzędzia, które dotyczą obliczania emisji dwutlenku węgla w poszczególnych fazach transportu. Państwa Unii Europejskiej dysponują oryginalnymi metodami szacunków w przedmiotowym zakresie, dostosowanymi do występujących uwarunkowań gospodarczych, społecznych, socjologicznych, środowiskowych czy geograficznych. W referacie przedstawiono najistotniejsze i najbardziej rozpowszechnione metody w tym zakresie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ciężkiego transportu samochodowego. Przedstawione będą również założenia międzynarodowego projektu COFRET (Carbon Footprint of Freight Transport - Ocena emisji dwutlenku węgla z transportu ciężarowego). Prace w ramach realizowanego projektu mają na celu zharmonizowanie dostępnych metod i mają stanowić próbę kompleksowego ujęcia zjawiska emisji dwutlenku węgla w całym łańcuchu transportowo – logistycznym. Jest to szczególnie istotne wobec wzrostu wymagań legislacyjnych dotyczących ochrony środowiska naturalnego człowieka
