The aim of conducted research was to determine the influence of metabolites of Pseudomonas fluorescens on the growth of 4 pathogenic strains of Rhizoctonia solani marked as R1, R2, R3 and R4 infesting sugar beet. The antagonistic properties of metabolites were assessed after 4, 6, 8, 10 and 24 hours of culturing of P. fluorescens with a culture-plate method on Czapek medium. The bacterial strains were cultured at 25ºC for 4-7 days. Fungistatic activity of P. fluorescens was determined on the rate of mycelial growth inhibition and of the growth rate index.
