Radioactivity of building materials used in construction (ionizing radiation)

Zaprezentowano rodzaje promieniowania i ich charakterystykę. Opisano jednostki aktywności źródła i dawki przyjętej przez organizmy żywe. Następnie artykuł opisuje normy promieniowania ustalone dla materiałów budowlanych i wymagania ustawowe jakie muszą spełniać budynku w celu ochrony przed naturalnymi źródłami promieniowania pochodzącego z zastosowanych materiałów budowalnych i gazu radonu. W Polsce prowadzony jest stały monitoring wybranych materiałów pod kątem promieniowania. Wyniki tych pomiarów również zaprezentowano w artykule.Types of radiation and their characteristics was presented. Description of the individual source activity and dose adopted by living organisms was given. The article then cites the exposure standard established for building materials and legal requirements to be met by the building to protect it from natural sources of radiation from the building materials and radon gas. In Poland, it is carried out constant monitoring of selected materials for radiation. The results of these measurements are also presented in the article
