The use of the FMEA method to assess the quality of dairy products

The purpose of the article is to use the FMEA method to assess the quality of a selected dairy product. The method of causes and effects of defects consists in recognizing potential defects and the reasons for their formation. The article presents not only the aims of and reasons for applying FMEA, but also stages of the analysis and its applications. Thanks to the FMEA method, we can constantly improve our product (or process) by subjecting it to subsequent analyzes and, based on the results obtained, introduce new patches and solutions striving for a perfect product.Celem artykułu jest wykorzystanie metody FMEA do oceny jakości wybranego wyrobu mleczarskiego. Metoda przyczyn i skutków wad polega na rozpoznawaniu potencjalnych wad i przyczyn ich powstawania. W artykule przedstawiono nie tylko cele i przyczyny stosowania FMEA, ale także etapy analizy i jej zastosowania.
