The basic economic goal of pig iron process is to produce a finished product at the highest possible quality and at the lowest possible cost. The quality of pig iron depends on the quality of raw materials used in the process, quality of fuels and process parameters. The cost of fuel is one of the basic component of cost of pig iron production. Therefore, consumption of fuels should be minimized while maintaining its high quality.
