This research aims to take stock of the possible contribution of constructivism to the renewal of the pedagogy of swimming. If the pedagogies oriented by constructivism have profoundly renewed the ways of approaching the teaching of team sports, the same is not the case with the teaching of predominantly technical sports disciplines. By identifying the differences and similarities between the various forms of constructivism, the article offers a pedagogical framework guided by this epistemology that can be used in the teaching of swimming.
