The objective of this research was to evaluate the sub-lethal effects of insecticides on fall armyworm population. Initially it was carried out bioassays to obtain curves of response-concentrations for the third stage of fall armyworm. It was used the technique by topic application of 1 µl on the pro-thoracic region of the fall armyworm to the insecticides malathion and lambdacyhalothrin. After obtaining lethal concentrations through Probit analyses it was assessed the sub-lethal effects using the doses corresponding to CL10. After applying the insecticides the fall armyworms were put into 2,5 X 8,5 cm glass tubes, enclosed with water repellent cotton containing artificial diet where they were kept until the pupae phase.
