Eficiência de inseticidas associados a enxofre no controle de Spodoptera frugiperda em milho convencional

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of different insecticides with or without the association of sulfur in the control of S. frugiperda and the mortality of natural enemies present in corn. It was used a variety Al-Bandeirantes, with a population of 65,000 plants ha-1, in a randomized manner with 8 treatments and 5 replications. Each plot consisted of six rows spaced by 4.0 m to 0.45 m. The treatments were: 1) clorantraniliprole 25 g a.i. ha-1; 2) clorantraniliprole 25 g a.i. ha-1 + 1% sulfur; 3) triflumuron 24 g a.i. ha-1; 4) triflumuron 24 g a.i. ha-1 + 1% sulfur, 5) flubendiamide 60 g a.i. ha-1; 6) flubendiamide 60 g a.i. ha-1 + 1% sulfur; 7) sulfur 1%; 8) control (untreated). Insecticide applications were made when the level of control achieved (30% of plants shaved), with the use of a backpack sprayer, pressurized with CO2, tipped with yellow jet type range (AXI110-02) with spray volume of 300 L.ha-1. Evaluations were performed before and at 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 21DAA (days after application) in five plants each, which determined the number of larvae per plant and natural enemies. Data was analyzed by Tukey test and through the controlling of efficiency. It was observed that the use of sulfur can reduce the presence of caterpillars on plants, and when added to insecticides it showed a variable efficiency of control, always with positive characteristics of pest control. The insecticide clorantraniliprole had the highest efficiency in the controlling of S. frugiperda during the evaluations. The insecticides with the addition of sulfur were less harmful to D. luteipes and Orius sp.O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de diferentes inseticidas em associação a enxofre no controle da S. frugiperda e mortalidade de inimigos naturais na cultura do milho. Utilizou-se a variedade Al-Bandeirantes, com população de 65.000 plantas ha-1, em blocos ao acaso, com 8 tratamentos e 5 repetições. As parcelas foram compostas por 6 linhas de 4,0m espaçadas em 0,45m. Os tratamentos foram: 1) clorantraniliprole 25 g i.a. ha-1; 2) clorantraniliprole 25 g i.a. ha-1 + enxofre 1%; 3) triflumuron 24 g i.a. ha-1; 4) triflumuron 24 g i.a. ha-1 + enxofre 1%; 5) flubendiamida 60 g i.a.ha-1; 6) flubendiamida 60 g i.a. ha-1 + enxofre 1%; 7) enxofre 1%; 8) testemunha (sem tratamento). A aplicação dos inseticidas foi realizada quando o nível de controle atingiu 30% de plantas raspadas, com um pulverizador costal, pressurizado com CO2, com pontas tipo leque amarelo (AXI110-02) com volume de calda de 300 L.ha-1. As avaliações foram realizadas previamente, aos 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 e 21 DAA em 5 plantas/parcela, determinando o número de lagartas/planta e inimigos naturais. Os dados foram analisados pelo Teste de Tukey, e através da eficiência de controle. A utilização de enxofre pode reduzir a presença de lagartas nas plantas, e em associação a inseticidas apresentou resultados variáveis na eficiência de controle, sempre apresentando características positivas de controle de pragas. O inseticida clorantraniliprole apresentou as maiores eficiências de controle de S. frugiperda. Os inseticidas com e sem a adição de enxofre foram seletivos a D. luteipes e Orius sp
