El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación fue evaluar el efecto antimicrobiano del aceite esencial (AE) de Orégano Origanum vulgare frente al crecimiento de Listeria monocytogenes, se evaluaron 13 concentraciones del aceite bajo tres métodos para determinar el efecto antimicrobiano del AE, gota sobre césped, método de Kirby Bauer (MKB) y siembra en pozo (MSP); se empleó como control positivo una cepa de Carnobacterium maltaromaticum y como control negativo aceite mineral, los ensayos se realizaron por triplicado, se tomaron las medidas correspondientes de los halos de inhibición con la ayuda de un calibrador de marca Mitutoyo, para obtener medidas más precisas, se promediaron las tres medidas y se determinó el porcentaje de inhibici...
