The prevalence of Alzheimer’s in Europe is increasing strikingly over the past decade. Addressing this neurodegenerative disorder can be arduous as the underlying cause isn’t often reversible. The past research has mainly focused on identifying degenerated genes and miRNAs as their interrelation is often useful to describe a medical condition and provides us with indispensable information which can be further exploited to devise a diagnostic plan or devise a therapy. These degenerated genes indeed act as useful diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers.
