Bu tez çalışmasında, M>11M ⊙ (M ⊙ = 1.9891x10 30 kg Güneşin kütlesi) kütleli bir yıldızın Karbon, Oksijen ve Silikon yanma fazında gerçekleştiği düşünülen 12C+ 12 C, 12C+ 16O, 16O+ 16 O, α+ 28 Si, α+ 32 S, α+ 36 Ar, α+ 40 Ca reaksiyonları ve bunların yanı sıra 44Ti çekirdeğinin α-bozunumu incelenmiştir. Reaksiyon gözlenirleri elde edilirken yarı-klasik WKB (Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin) metot, çiftlenmiş kanallar formalizmi ve istatistiksel hesaplamalar kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca hesaplamalarda kümelenme modelinden faydalanılarak çekirdekler arasındaki etkileşimler tanımlanmış bununla beraber farklı fenomenolojik potansiyellerden de istifade edilmiştir.
