The epidemic of obesity has been affecting individuals globally, with roughly 650 million adults obese in 2016 (WHO, 2021). According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), obesity increases the risk of multiple life-threatening diseases such as stroke, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, and overall results in a reduced standard of living. In this study, we manipulate animals’ diets with isocaloric high- (42% of kcals from fat) and low-fat (15% kcals from fat) diets.
