The article deals with the issue of cross-linguistic influence in acquisition phonology and vocabulary of two languages by bilingual Ukrainian-English children. The paper presents the example of individual bilingualism of four-year old boys from Canada and the USA. The main aim of the research is to compare language behavior and acquisition of the first language, in this case Ukrainian and cross influence of both languages on the children’s dual language development. The analysis of the data is based on contrasting) pronunciation and ability to name things in the pictures.
