International audienceAbstract: My goal is to compare the epistemological status of Researcher and Teacher-Researcher in Physical Education. I am in the perspective of the "anthropological hypothesis" (Bazin, 2008). To describe the actions of men in such a perspective, it is possible to understand why they are doing so by learning what we should do to do as they do. I base my study on two theses. The first implies that we can not, as an anthropologist, be detached from our object of study (Ingold, 2014). The second thesis is the holism in anthropology: it says that ideas and actions derive their meaning because of their role in a set that we must grasp as a whole.
