This thesis focuses on the internationalization and Europeanization of French cities through international cooperation networks. These international cooperations are divided into three types: bilateral cooperations, European projects and city associations. The objective is to show how these cooperation links structure territories at different scales. From a methodological point of view, this work is characterized by the use of complementary approaches. I use quantitative techniques to exploit databases listing these cooperations.
