International audienceThis chapter explores the censorship impact generated by economic logic on the selection and coverage of topics in factual formats and current affairs documentaries on French television. This prelimina- ry research studies more specifically the subcontracting relationships between TV channels and production companies from semi- structured interviews with various categories of professionals (managers of TV press agencies, journalists, directors, Commissioning Editor). The analysis distinguishes two types of censorship ef- fects.
