The works carried out in this thesis is part of a project aiming at developing numerical methodologies to assist in the design of parts manufactured using the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) process. They focus on the macroscopic description of the thermal scenario undergone by the part during its manufacture and aim firstly at developing a modelling framework, based on the Arlequin framework, which will allow, i) to overcome the complexities of the problem, in particular: the intense thermal gradients located under the laser, the non-linear phase change phenomenon, the permanent geometrical domain evolutions..., ii) to potentially refine the modelling by going down to the mesoscopic and microscopic scales.
