International audienceAir temperature inversion (ATI), which usually occurs at the near surface boundary layer in the atmosphere, influences the thermal path atmospheric upwelling and downwelling radiances. Because it is difficult to determine the occurrence of temperature inversion from satellite data, the influence of ATI on the retrieval of land surface temperature (LST) was not considered in the development of LST retrieval algorithm. This paper aims to analyze and reduce the influence of ATI on LST retrieval in the generalized split-window (GSW) algorithm.
