This thesis is situated in the context of recent developments in the theory of embodiment applied to social cognition that argue that the plasticity of the bodily self-representation induced by multisensory interactions can extend to our relationship to others, and change how we feel about them. In this work, we used a simple neuroscience-inspired procedure to beam our human subjects into a robot, allowing embodiment induced by multisensory interactions.
