International audienceThe last 6 years, the International Energy Agency (IEA) Wind Task 36 “Forecasting for Wind Energy” has provided forecasting stakeholders (weather institutes, forecast service providers, end users and academics) a platform to discuss challenges and benefits of forecasting for wind power. These discussions have led to a number of activities and initiatives to overcome challenges and to broadcast the benefits of forecasting.
