Seismic probabilistic risk assessment studies consist in evaluating the probabilities of failure of mechanical structures when submitted to seismic ground motions. These studies are often concentrated on fragility curve estimation. The fragility curve is the probability of failure of the structure conditionally to a seismic intensity measure. However, its estimation requires computer experiments involving huge computation time. Such a computational burden makes crude Monte Carlo methods untractable, fragility curves estimation must then be economical in terms of sample size.
