This study seeks to demonstrate the influences that cultural differences can have on the implementation of responsible purchasing in companies, via a qualitative study conducted in the pharmaceutical sector. The results of this research show that different influences such as awareness, communication and the approach to negotiations can have an impact on responsible purchasing across the continent. We can say that cultural differences affect responsible purchasing practices in various ways. Supplier motivation and various CSR management tools can help in supplier relationships and the application of certain responsible practices.
