When suspensions of solid particles flow through a porous medium, they can accumulate in certain regions of the flow, forming plugs and leading to clogging. This problem has a negative impact on many applications as it reduces the permeability of the media. Because of its complexity, most recent studies focus on the pore scale through pore models and structures that mimic a porous medium such as simple constrictions.For this project, we tried to describe and understand this phenomenon at a larger scale (porous medium scale).
