International audienceIn the Cintis Valley (Bolivia), a traditional viticulture, distinguished by centuries-old vineyards, native varieties and vines staked on native trees, is threatened by the introduction of modern systems with standard technology. This work carries out a comparative evaluation of economic, social and environmental sustainability, of traditional and modern winegrowing systems in order to provide the bases to generate strengthening strategies of viticulture in the region. On average, traditional systems presented the highest environmental index, as they exhibit higher biodiversity and better soil management.
