International audienceThe Sèvres-Cité de la céramique reserves hated a collection of earthenware tiles which materialise an artistic expression shared from Europe to Asia, via the Middle East, North Africa and Central America. From the 15th to the 18th century, different samples of tiles are displayed in order to underline the adaptability of this art. The varied origins of these objects highlight the circulation of techniques and the fusion of aesthetics. The richness and variety of this collection are representative of an ornamental practice in constant circulation that the faience makers have constantly improved.
