Introduction: The population is ageing and the number of dependent elderly people is increasing. Despite their dependence, the elderly wish to age in their home but it can have an impact on their quality of life. Occupational therapists contribute to home based care. The purpose of this study was to determine how occupational therapists can improve the quality of life of the dependent elderly living at home.Methods: The study was based on a qualitative method and used semi-structured interviews. Seven occupational therapists who practiced in the homes of the dependent elderly people were interviewed.
