Ionic liquid [bmim][SeO2(OMe)] as recyclable solvent for the catalyst-free synthesis of 3-selenylindoles

In this work, it was developed a cleaner synthetic methodology for the preparation of 3-selenylindoles 3a-i, through indole electrophilic substitution reaction using the ionic liquid [bmim][SeO2(OMe)] as solvent without the necessity of use catalysts and additives, the products were obtained in moderate to good yields. Additionally, a study on the recovery and reuse of [bmim][SeO2(OMe)] was performed. We observed a good level of efficiency in four reuse cycles, reducing the emission of waste and contemplating the principles of Green Chemistry.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESNeste trabalho desenvolveu-se uma metodologia sintética limpa para a preparação de 3-selenilindóis 3a-i, através de reação de substituição eletrofílica aromática de indóis, utilizando líquido iônico [bmim][SeO2(OMe)] como solvente sem a necessidade de catalisadores ou aditivos. Os produtos foram obtidos em rendimentos de moderados a bons. Adicionalmente, um estudo sobre a recuperação e reuso do [bmim][SeO2(OMe)] foi realizado.
