Fungicide application period and its effect upon physiological and healthy quality of soybean seeds

This work was carried out with the objective of evaluating fungicide application period in physiological and health of soybean seed quality. The first fungicide application was done when the soybean plants were in R1 stage (50% of flowering); the second application 20 days after and de third, 40 days after the first one. The fungicide used was Trifloxystrobin + cyproconaxole (Sphere) with the dose of 56, 2+24 g i.a.ha-1. The cultivars were CD 215 and CD 202, being the last one, the most cropped in the west region of Paraná State. This work was established in Coopavel Experimental Field, located in Cascavel, Paraná. The results indicated that yield and 1,000 seeds weight were determinate by the number of fungicide applications; that the fungicide application number do not affect physiological quality and that the fungi detected in soybean seeds is determinate by the harvest period and that there is a negative relation between fungi amount and physiological seed quality.Sem bolsaO objetivo deste trabalho foi de avaliar o efeito de fungicidas, aplicados em diferentes épocas, sobre a qualidade fisiológica e sanitária de semente de soja. A primeira aplicação de fungicida foi realizada quando as plantas estavam na fase reprodutiva R1 (50 % em florescimento), sendo a segunda aplicação realizada 20 dias depois da primeira e a terceira 40 depois da primeira. O fungicida utilizado foi o Trifloxystrobin + cyproconaxole/Sphere (56,2 + 24 g i.a.ha-1). As cultivares usadas foram a CD 202 e CD 215, por serem estas as mais cultivadas na região oeste do Paraná. O trabalho foi conduzido na área experimental do Show Rural Coopavel – Cascavel – PR. Os resultados obtidos indicam que o rendimento de grãos e peso de mil grãos são influenciados pelo número de aplicações de fungicidas; que o número de aplicações de fungicidas não afeta a qualidade fisiológica das sementes e que a quantidade de fungos detectados em sementes de soja é influenciada pela época de colheita e tem relação inversa com a qualidade fisiológica das mesmas
