Purpose: Chronic and persistent exposure to negative stress can lead to adverse consequences on health. Particularly, psychosocial factors were found to increase the risk and outcome of respiratory diseases like asthma. Glucocorticoids (GCs) are the most efficient anti-inflammatory therapy for asthma.
