Analysis of Student Personality Development in Liberal Arts Education

The significance of this research study is to analyze college students’ experiences from the start of freshman to senior year with a goal to speculate and develop healthy personality. During these crucial years, studies have found that the connections in students’ behavior and character situated during college have notable implications for the people they become and the lives they will lead (Farrington, 2017). Fully supporting student enrichments such as intrinsic motivations for life-long learning, for example, lead students to a more fulfilling life. Recognizing that a healthy psychological and emotional growth in students is vital as they become functioning citizens after their years in college, this research synthesis takes on the significance of liberal arts philosophies while applying methods using Myers-Brigg’s personality-type indicators. To empower students, this analytical study predicts that a liberal arts education paired with various direct implications of psychological development, produces healthy noncognitive outcomes that lead students to prosper throughout their lives
